The Institute of Researching Educational Sciences (IRES), which belongs to the Department of Science and Technology, operates in the fields of Economy – Culture – Society. As the educational institute, IRES is dedicated to creating a nourishing, safeguarded, and amicable atmosphere conducive to the educational and developmental needs of children. In 2017, IRES conducted research and implemented the “ERA Sexuality Education Activities: Preventing Child Abuse” project. This initiative offers several benefits to schools, parents, and children.

Besides organizing various informative conferences at educational facilities and managing a sex education application designed for parents and students, IRES has also introduced a set of bilingual English-Vietnamese publications titled “ERA Sexuality Education Activities: Abuse Prevention Skills for Children”, including:

  • The handbook “ERA Sexuality Education Activities: Preventing Child Abuse” (for children 3 – 15 years old)
  • The Together Era story series to learn about gender (sowing the seeds of personality) includes 10 comic books with 10 topics.
  • A set of coloring books to prevent abuse.

The set of “ERA Sexuality Education Activities: Abuse Prevention Skills for Children” publication

The purpose of this publication is to assist teachers in acquiring beneficial knowledge and instructional techniques for imparting sex education to children. In addition, the book also provides guidance for parents on how to effectively address age-appropriate sexuality education with their children, particularly those in kindergarten

On October 10th 2023, Vietnam Records Organization – VietKings officially awarded the Vietnamese record certificate to Institute of Researching Educational Sciences for being “The Vietnam’s first institute compiled and published the handbook collection of bilingual English-Vietnamese publications (including Handbooks, Comic books and Coloring books) on the topic of sexuality education and child abuse prevention skills for children from 3-15 years old.”

Additionally, the Institute for Research in Educational Sciences was also set a Global Vietnamese Record by the Global Vietnamese Records Organization – Vietworld.
