The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is a chain of themed areas at Universal Destinations & Experiences based on the Harry Potter media franchise, adapting elements from the Warner Bros.’ film series and original novels by J. K. Rowling.  The Wizarding World of Harry Potter opened at Islands of Adventure on June 18, 2010.

Step into Diagon Alley, home to many of the wizarding world’s most famous establishments. The attention to detail is incredible; every window you’ll pass is a nod to something magical from the films. For example, directly to your right, you’ll get your first glimpse of the coveted Nimbus 2000 broomstick in the window of Harry’s favorite Shop, Quality Quidditch Supplies.

Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts is a thrill ride that will have us navigating perilous subterranean vaults and coming face-to-face with Bellatrix Lestrange and Voldemort himself. At Gringotts Money Exchange, you can converse with a goblin while trading U.S. currency for Gringotts banknotes to be used for purchases at select locations throughout Universal Orlando Resort.

Inside the Hogwarts castle, you’ll fly with Harry and his friends through this death-defying adventure. Taking on giant spiders, dragons and even Dementors, this is a true test of your wizard abilities and courage.

At this attraction, the queue is just as much a part of the experience. You wind through the halls of Hogwarts taking in all the moving portraits and the atmosphere of the historic castle. You cross paths with the likes of Professor Dumbledore, Harry, Ron, Hermione, The Sorting Hat and many others.

The experienced people recommend at least a 3-day Park-to-Park Ticket so you can experience one day at Universal Studios Florida, Universal’s Islands of Adventure and Universal’s Volcano Bay.
