Energizer Holdings, Inc. is an American manufacturer and one of the world’s largest manufacturers of batteries, headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri. The company produces batteries under the Energizer, Ray-O-Vac, Varta, and Eveready brand names, and formerly owned a number of personal care businesses until it separated that side of the business into a new company called Edgewell Personal Care in 2015.

1896 – Columbia, a dry cell battery manufactured by National Carbon Company, became the first commercially available battery sold in the United States The National Carbon Company later became Eveready Battery Company – known today as Energizer®.
1905 – Conrad Hubert renames his company The American Ever Ready Company.

2001 – Energizer® introduces the Energizer EZ Change®, a new dispenser for hearing aid batteries.
2006 – Energizer®introduces Energi To Go® instant Cell Phone Charger.
2015 – Energizer introduces the world’s first AA battery made with 4% recycled batteries – Energizer® EcoAdvanced™.
As of 2021 – Energizer has six operational facilities in the United States.
2023 – The Energizer Solar ecosystem of solar panels, inverters, and batteries will roll in the United States toward the end of the third quarter this year.
