Than Uyen is a geographical region that runs beside the Hoang Lien Son mountain range. This is one of Northwest Vietnam’s greatest fields, with a temperate temperature and good soil that make it perfect for farmers to develop a livelihood. Seng Cu Rice is a specialized and endemic rice type grown at an elevation of more than 600 meters above sea level in the fields of Muong Than, Than Uyen, and Lai Chau, the third largest field in Northwest Vietnam.

Products maintain food cleanliness and safety and come in a variety of sizes for consumer convenience. Seng Cu rice is distinguished by its long, bulky, ivory-white, non-shiny grains, which are all sweet, tasty, and nutrient-dense.

Seng Cu rice is regarded to be of greater quality than other well-known rice varieties such as Tam Thom rice, Nang Huong rice, Bac Huong rice, and others. Due to the huge rice grains, wonderful flavor, and rich aroma, visitors to the Northwest will never forget the taste of Seng Cu rice from Than Uyen.

The journey to nominate and promote the TOP-BEST best-selling OCOP-certified products in 63 provinces and cities of Vietnam is one of the projects implemented under the strategic alliance between the Vietnam Records Organization (VietKings), the USA Records Organization (USKings) and the World Records Institute (WorldMark), with the goal of propagating and promoting the record values of countries worldwide.
