Located at the foot of Ham Ninh mountain, Ham Ninh fishing village not only has a wild beauty and serene atmosphere, but it also supplies a rich amount of seafood, notably sentinel crabs, for both Phu Quoc city and neighboring provinces.

Ham Ninh sentinel crabs lurk in corals or burrow in the sand on the seafloor between 10 and 20 meters deep. Despite their small size, Ham Ninh sentinel crabs feature firm flesh and a delectably fresh flavor.

The Phu Quoc Professional Chefs held an event to process and exhibit 100 dishes created from Ham Ninh sentinel crabs in order to promote local delicacies and share Phu Quoc’s unique cuisine to domestic and international tourists. The event drew 60 experienced chefs who prepared intricate and appealing specialties with the main ingredient, Ham Ninh sentinel crabs.

Ham Ninh sentinel crabs were processed into various tasty dishes such as salad, grilled/fried sentinel crabs, soup, hot pot, and more

The dishes were presented very elaborately and meticulously

Through this event, the Phu Quoc Professional chef’s officially set a national record for “The largest number of dishes processed and displayed from Ham Ninh Sentinel Crab (Phu Quoc) in Vietnam“.

Mr. Duong Duy Lam Vien – A Secretary General of the Vietnam Record Association and Director of the Vietnam Records Institute and Ms. Nguyen Thi Quynh Ngoc – A General Secretary of the Vietnam Records Organization (VietKings) awarded the Vietnam Record Certificate to the Representative of the Phu Quoc Professional chef’s.
