Monster Energy’s skier David Wise (USA) and teammate snowboarder Christian Haller (SUI) set two new world records for the Highest Ski and Snowboard Airs on a Hip at the Suzuki Nine Knights Perfect Hip event in Watles, South Tyrol, Italy. The pair soared 46.58793 feet and 37.07349 Feet above the hip, respectively.

The two new world records were set at the “Perfect Hip” built for the Suzuki Nine Knights 2016. Two thousand viewers gathered to watch the invited world’s best transition skiers and snowboarders reaching new jaw-dropping heights, flying over the 10-meters tall axe.

“It was not a goal, but I decided to go as high as I could, record or not,” said Wise. “To take the title home is an experience of a lifetime.”
