The “Mandala Universe,” measuring 1.4m x 1.4m and made of 27,000 toothpicks, is a BOARC-style work of art designed and implemented by Architect – Record Holder Hoang Tuan Long over a period of three months.

 

 

The Mandala, a spiritual emblem in Hinduism and Buddhism that represents the image of the vast and huge world, is depicted at the center of the artwork. Surrounding the Mandala are 379 words of the Great Compassion Mantra, performed by 379 people. To finish the process, each person has inserted a toothpick into one word of the Great Compassion Mantra.

 

 

“EQUALITY” is the most important thing in this art work to architect Hoang Tuan Long. With the “Mandala Universe”, each individual contributes equally; no one is more significant than the others; and everyone plays an important role with the same worth. Record holder Hoang Tuan Long hopes that each word he creates will spread LOVE and positive energy to soothe the suffering of the country in the previous years of epidemics, and that we all pray for good things in 2022.

 

 

Under the authorization of the Asia Book of Records (ABR) , Representative of Vietnam Records Organization (Vietkings) attended the event to announce and award the Asian Record to “Mandala Universe” artwork, includes : Mr. Tran Hoang – Chairman of Vietnam Marketing Association, Standing Committee of Vietnam Record-Setting Council; Mrs. Nguyen Thi Quynh Ngoc – General Secretary of the Vietnam Records Organization (VietKings); Mrs. Vo Luu Lan Uyen – Deputy General Secretary of the Vietnam Records Organization (VietKings); Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuong Van – Head of International Relations Division  of Vietnam Records Organization (VietKings); Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Huyen – Deputy of International Relations Division of Vietnam Records Organization (VietKings).

 

Mrs. Nguyen Thi Quynh Ngoc announced the Authorization Letter from Asia Book of Records (ABR).
