The Easton Farmers’ Market was established in 1752, the year of the City’s founding. For more than two and a half centuries farmers and merchants gathered in Easton’s “Great Square” to peddle their fresh and handcrafted wares. Easton’s proximity to Philadelphia and New York City and its unique place at the confluence of the Delaware and Lehigh Rivers, made it a natural site for regional commerce and community gatherings.

The mission of the Easton Farmers Market is to provide a marketplace for local farmers and artisans to sustain their local operations, while at the same time offering consumers a venue that fills their plates with local produce.  From local produce growers to watermen, from bakers to crafters and local artisans, the Easton Farmers Market provides an entire meal, home decor and unique gift items in a friendly and festive environment.

Shopping at the market offers customers a chance to cut down their supply chain by purchasing pasture-raised meat and eggs, dairy items, local produce, honey and more directly from the farmers/producers. The outdoor market also allows customers to shop in an open-air setting with fewer points of contact.

In 2020 the coronavirus pandemic brought the market to a new location – Scott Park on the riverside – where more space could accommodate all of our vendors and shoppers in a safe environment. Today the Easton Farmers’ Market remains a rich and colorful piece of Easton’s heritage. The market draws on its deep roots and offers visitors a vibrant shopping experience and incomparable community spirit.
