In July 29, 2015 at 6:34 on Wednesday evening, the first man hauled himself out of the canoe, took a few steps on solid ground, then collapsed on the bank of the Missouri River

After a grueling 34 hours and 34 minutes on the water, the Texas tandem took first place and set a record in the 10th annual MR340 race. Over the next couple of days, hundreds of paddlers are expected to cross the finish line near the Lewis and Clark Boat House and Nature Center here. The 340-mile race runs from Kaw Point, Kan., to St. Charles and ends at midnight Friday.
