Bystander Kim Joiner managed to film the alligator while it trekked the grassy path. She estimates that all told, he was about 12 feet long. While massive, this size isn’t record breaking—that title belongs to an alligator who measured 14 feet, 3.5 inches long.
Further describing the scene was Kristi Buckley, a fellow spectator and photographer. She recalled to news station WFLA, “He looks almost prehistoric, and just watching his feet flop as they hit the ground was amazing.” If you ever wanted to know what a dinosaur might act like, just watch the video, below.
