Bantam Lake Ski Club (Connecticut state) : The oldest, continuously operating water ski club in the United States

24-02-2019

(USKings.us) The Bantam Lake Ski Club of Connecticut was established in 1958 by a group of local water ski enthusiasts. It is the oldest, continuously operating water ski club in the United States. They are a very active club and pride ourselves on a family oriented membership of over 100 members.

Every year during the second weekend of August we hold our Cypris Gardens style water ski show at Sandy Beach in Morris, CT. Come watch them perform all sorts of acts including multi tier pyramids, jumping, ballet lines, barefooting, kids ski lines and more.

Bantam Lake is located in the towns of Litchfield and Morris. It is in the Housatonic River Drainage Basin and is the largest natural lake in Connecticut at 947 acres.

The lake is protected and preserved by the Bantam Lake Protective Association which was started in 1925.
